Why Moses Rejected Egypt and Turned to God Hebrews 12:1-2: A gutsy and remarkable stand Moses took in choosing the God of the enslaved Hebrews over the riches and possessions he enjoyed as the son of Pharaoh's daughter.

INTRODUCTION: This lesson deals with the importance of doing all things within God’s perfect timing and the troubles brought on by getting out of His timing. It also shows how strife (personified by Midian) works against us, and how God can use it for our benefit.

1. MOSES DEPARTS FROM EGYPT (Exodus 2:11-15[11] And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren. • The Revelation on Sinai. The dawn of the third day broke amid thunder and lightning that filled the air. • Using the scripture as a tool to plant doubt, rather than the seed of faith. Because even today, people must follow the example of Moses and realize that even today there is a Glory of Egypt that must be rejected while choosing the Reproaches of Christ. Moses rejected the Glory of Egypt. Moses Chose the Reproaches of Christ.
• The Holy Scriptures start with a revelation on the past (Genesis 1) and they end with a revelation on the future. The Revelation is a very solemn book speaking much about divine judgments but it is also a wonderful book in which we find the completion of God's ways up to eternal glory.
