• PCR-300/500/800 System Update Ver. 1.05

  This is the latest operating system version for the PCR-300/500/800. After downloading and extracting the compressed file, please refer to the “PCR_Update_Procedure” pdf document included for the update procedure.

  Note
  This update is via MIDI; therefore, a MIDI sequencer is required to transfer the SMF files to the PCR-300/500/800. Please note that certain sequencers may not be able to play back large amounts of system exclusive messages. Using one the SMF update applications below is recommended:

PCR-800 Updates & Drivers. PCR Driver Version 1.0.1 for Windows® 8/8.1. IMPORTANT NOTICE: When the Windows SmartScreen is displayed upon installing the driver, please perform the following procedure.

1. Last year Roland was on the bit with Windows 8.0 drivers and delivered them almost concurrently with Windows 8. Windows 8 shipped on October 26th, 2012 and the Roland drivers on November 2, 2012. Windows 8 drivers will not work on Windows 8.1 so if you have any of Roland’s audio products you might consider waiting until they are announced.
2. Hi All, Thanks so much for your suggestions, My Edirol PCR-500 is working now on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit! I'd like to add that uninstalling the existing driver didn't work for me. What did work was explicitly updating the driver by pointing to the (64 bit in my case) folder containing the driver with modified.INF files.
3. Inkjet: Software: Windows 10: Windows 10 HOME: Windows 10 PRO: 32bit (x86) 64bit (x64) 32bit (x86) 64bit (x64) Roland DG VersaWorks.

This is the challenge as Windows 8.1 rolls out across the world.

Pcr 800 Driver Windows 10 64

The device drivers for many popular audio, video and printer devices may not be available. Without a signed 8.1 driver, you are out of luck until the manufacturer releases it. Update – see below for Roland’s response.

Update October 23, 2013 – Roland releases the drivers for Windows 8.1

Last year Roland was on the bit with Windows 8.0 drivers and delivered them almost concurrently with Windows 8. Windows 8 shipped on October 26th, 2012 and the Roland drivers on November 2, 2012.

Windows 8 drivers will not work on Windows 8.1 so if you have any of Roland’s audio products you might consider waiting until they are announced.

This holds true for any device like a video card or printer as well. If you update too soon, the affected device probably won’t work.
